Although I did find myself hoping they weren't going to kiss. I'm not sure if that says more about me than your story; most likely it does. But very nicely done, my personal prejudices notwithstanding.

For some reason when I read the clapping part, it reminded me of some villain slowly clapping when the hero finally "succeeds" at a task the villain had set out for them.

My friends practically died when I had the two characters kiss. They hated the guy at the start, and by the end, they were complaining because they wanted a boy like that. I couldn't stop laughing when they were talking about it afterwards

Thank you! I'm never completely thrilled with my stories so the only ones that ever get finished are for school. I wish I could finish a story that wasn't for school so I guess we all have our fallbacks!
