In a documentary about Anglo-Saxon art, you do not expect to hear mention of Romulus and Remus-like figures depicted on a piece which appears to pertain to their creation beliefs. That's rather interesting, as is that they are shown as adults beneath the she-wolf, not babies as usual in Roman iconography ( Read more... )

This isn't the same documentary with the gothic looking woman who suddenly produces a toddler in a pushchair for no real purpose, who spends rather too long in a modern jewellery shop and who stands by an obelisk thingy saying, "Here's where the Roman's invaded in [insert relevant date here]... Well, not here, but over there," and points to an unseen spot way off camera?

If so, I watched that, and guffawed in annoyance throughout. She also didn't know how to use 'literally' properly, though she did keep practicing.

That makes my heart and my head just hurt.

But I would guess it's a lot of time spent. There's a lot of visual inspiration.
