I had a minimum stress level week, but I ended up being tired for almost every day. I've been thinking a lot, and I think that I work better in the wee hours of the morning when the entire apartment is quiet. I play my music quietly in my room, and I just sit on the bed and read or write or attempt to write or organize a drawer or add more

And thank you! I think what first got me thinking about Ginny and Sirius was this fanart by glockgal. Sirius and Ginny were reclining on a couch, and they just looked so comfortable that it totally swayed me towards that ship. If you haven't seen it before, I can dig up a link. It's at her art journal, glockart, for sure, I think.

Oooh! That was just lovely! This seemed very different stylistically from how you usually write. I thought it was great! The images of Ginny coming down the stairs, her passing Sirius the cup, and Sirius drinking the coffee have been imprinted on my brain. =)
I don't think I've ever read any Ginny/Sirius fic before, but this really seemed to fit perfectly with who they are. Thanks for sharing this! =)

I know of only 2 G/S fics worth reading, and if you'd like the links, I'll be happy to give them to you!
And thank you for reading it! Yeah, I've tried second person maybe once before. I know I'm going to try it again soon, probably with an unfamiliar ship, I think.

That piece by glockgal is just so great. I believe it was my introduction to the pairing as well.
I think one of the reasons why it works is because while Sirius is probably 21-22 years older than her, emotionally he's not that far ahead of her. In his mind, he's probably still in the 20-25 age bracket. *curses Azkaban* I see this ship as having so much potential for angst, and yet it also seems so peaceful. Maybe because they take solace in each other?
It's crazy that all of my opinions about this ship stem from that piece of art (although your fic has prompted some more ideas about it). But I think it's definitely an indication of glockgal's talent as an artist that she's managed to convey so much with one drawing.

The second is by "Monsters, Livid With Desire" musesfool, and that's NC17. An excerpt: He paces the bedroom that night, unwilling to chance the kitchen again, because he's never resisted a dare in his life, never wanted to, and Ginny Weasley is nothing but a dare, a chance to say fuck you to everything and everyone, and he's not going to do it again. He's not.
Both are awesome, in my opinion, and totally worthwhile reading :) Let me know what you think, and if you've gained more insight after reading them!
Yeah, I think you're spot on about one big part of the relationship - Sirius is sort of in the same boat as Ginny, emotionally, and I also think they're two very alike people. I'm also with you on the angst and comfort feeling.
That fanart was definitely gorgeous. Now I've got to take another look :)
