i am going to try to have them eat the well-balanced meals, but in the end i know i might get lazy and have them eat frosted flakes for breakfas. but the reduced-sugar kind! all joking aside, i too would like to pevent my kids from drinking pop at a young age. when i was a kid, pop and mcdonald's were like very rare treats if i was good.
I didn't eat fast food very often, but when I was younger I used to drink a can of Crush everyday after school, and then another one at night. When I was eight I started getting huge headaches, and gained a ton of weight. We figured out that it was because of all the pop I had been drinking, so I cut it out completely! Now I'll have a ginger ale every once in a while, but I prefer water and (real) juice! Needless to say, if I ever have children I won't be keeping any pop in the house.
