macbook engraving woes

I want my macbook laser engraved. I can't decide what to get engraved on it because I'm not happy with any design for one reason or another I still can't figure out. I've been sitting on a couple designs for a bit because the people I've contacted about getting it engraved have been taking forever to get back in touch with me.

second is the best of the ones you've provided. if i were willing to do it, i'd do something like the japanese black ink paintings of a tree on a cliff.

the problem is i'm a coder, not a designer. i can do watercolours, but doing stuffs on the computer is imposssssssible for me. it was what happened after messing around with illustrator brushes and vector illustrations I found. :D

Also, I guess I'm not that into those kinds of paintings. They are cool (I have some), but not something I'd want on my laptop.

I like teh third one most. :) nicer when it's less symmetric.

I was thinking that would be a good thing, but that design is my least favorite :(

#1 I love because it's simple, but it's also bad because it's simple. I don't know if it's because it's the same price to get things engraved regardless of how big the design is, or because it also looks sorta unbalanced but I feel it's missing something..shrug.

And I'm having a really hard time figuring out how it will end up looking on the MacBook.

Take a photo of the MacBook and use Photoshop to place the designs on the cover. Easy peasy.

Yeah, but it's not the same. I had better luck printing out a design and checking it out. I guess I have a hard time going from screen -> device :S
