Well that was unexpected. So I guess Dom had a terminal illness as well and he was just, waiting for death so he could donate his heart? Sorry if I got it wrong xD

Beautiful story. Extremely sad as well. And the idea of Matt LITERALLY carrying Dom´s heart is very romantic, makes you believe they will always be together in a way, Dom will always be a part of him. Literally, again.

I'm glad you asked :D While writing this, I was torn between revealing the reason of Dom's death or just leave it to the readers' imagination. I went for the latter option. So you're free to interpret the whole thing as you wish. :) My biggest concern was to basically point out the fact the Dom gave his life (and literally his heart) for Matt. And now that I think about it you can slightly associate it to the wonderful film "Seven Pounds". :)
