I did all this, and the layout didn't work. It all looked black! :( What could I have done wrong? I was in S2, I followed this tutorial... bleh.

The layout is for S1, which may have been the problem.

I followed through all the way to Step 7, but now I have a question. Since the customize page has now changed, how do I find my style & select it? The modify journal page just takes me to the general customize page.

"Find the layout number on the you wish to use on the entry where the layout is located." This sentence makes no sense to me...
Where can you find the layout number? And what is a layout number? Sorry I'm new to all this :/

I've followed the tutorial exactly many times for both of the s1 layouts but everytime I click 'create style' all I see is 'error'?

nevermind. I got some help and it was because I had an exsisting style that I hadn't named.

im using top trio and it isnt coming out like yours, the colors didnt change. am i supposed to change that somehow?
