this sounds like a similar life lesson i just learnt: if you don't get rid of the old, seriously, there's no room for the new, and then you're just going stale like some old banana in the fridge... it's just gotta be done, dealin' with the past. go for it. & good luck.
hannah, you're awesomeapplenoireAugust 16 2007, 06:08:49 UTC
ha. i love when people say "wheeee..." i'm eating a biscotti. it's mighty tasty. it's wonderful that we are content & not in love. i hope your special tomorrow goes as it should for you. you stay good too, take care.
were you born & raised in NY? i wonder how i'd do there. ever hear that song that dylan wrote about NYC? .."when i leave new york i'll be standin' on my feet, and it's hard times, hard times from the country, livin' down in new york town..."
speaking of no-internet access, that reminds me of what it's like visiting my mom on her little farm in the prairie, it's awesome to be able to see the stars brighter than i've ever seen them, and eeeeeeverything there...i love it. i hope i get to go back soon.
i feel like my room deserves to be painted some extraordinary exotic color -- like moonshine magenta, or amazon green -- because it is stark white, just like my sheets. and carpet. and lamp; i can only see shadows here.
i just moved into a new place last month, and it's been weird adjusting to sharing a house with 3 or 6 or so other people....i hardly see them, but i hear them and smell them, and unfortunately i don't really care for them too much. the walls in my room are all white except for one which is painted a mauve-y purple. it was like that when i moved in. i went to a new place tonight and it seems wonderful and perfectly suited for me (except for location. i'd have to bus & bike it), but i honestly can't remember if the walls of my bedroom were painted, and it's kind of bothering me that i can't recall it...white walls don't bother me as much as they used to. you can always decorate with pictures and other nice things. i can smell vanilla bean. yum. i should be in bed. i'm procrastinating, but i don't know why. life is so exciting, even though it's boring. aaaaaaaa love
