Header - This is the section of the resume where your personal information goes. It’s also the largest amount of wasted space on the resume. Remember the “Above the Fold” rule. Thanks for this! As much as I hate doing it, I recognize the need for retouching the ol' resume every now and again, even if I'm not looking and not worried about losing my current position. One never knows his next minute. My resume sucks, IMHO, so I look forward to ditching it entirely and starting anew with these pointers.

The CAR thing you mention is also a great help for annual performance reviews. I already keep a file on my machine where I log above-and-beyond type stuff when it occurs, so that when it comes time to fill out my annual self-evaluation, I can provide examples of the various ways I kicked ass that year (and of course I kick copious amounts of ass).
