Author's Notes: Er ... since Tessa told me it was called off because this was the only entry ... Originally written for
subrosa_tennis (challenge: A nice sunny, summer day, with snow on the beach.) I feel obliged to point out that I cheated and used the Japanese word for snow. Inspired by the movie Tegami.
"You know, you really are an idiot. Stupid, snivelling idiot who doesn't realize what's good for him. I told you to stay away."
"Don't say that, Akutsu-senpai. It's not nice to call other people idiots. Besides, I know you don't believe it."
"Stop calling me senpai. I'm not anymore."
"Sorry, Akutsu-senpai. You'll always be my senpai, and besides, I still respect you."
"Hmph. Right. You know, Dan, I don't get it. You can actually say that with a straight face while you're in a jail, surrounded by the filth of humanity. Isn't that what they called me in the papers?"
"You know that isn't true, Akutsu-senpai. You aren't, and neither are any of the other people in here."
"Heh. Right. Tell you a secret, Dan. That guy over there? He killed his wife and three children. He's here waiting for his death sentence any time now. And you know why he killed them? She told him he had to stop smoking or get out of the house. Fucking bitch didn't know what was coming, huh?"
"I remember that case, senpai. You don't have to remind me anymore."
"Hah, look at you, all stiff and scared. You're just like them."
"Like who, senpai?"
"Them, Dan. Them. Judges, teachers, lawyers, hell, everyone. Fucking world that tells jerks like me to take a hike."
"I told you, senpai, stop being so hard on yourself."
"Since when do you get to order me around, huh? Just because you stopped saying -desu after every sentence doesn't mean I'm going to listen to you."
"I don't expect you to, senpai, but I try anyway. Someone needs to ignore you when you say stupid things."
"If you think coming to the prison every two weeks is ignoring me, you need to go back to school and start on your Japanese again."
"No one insults like you do, senpai."
"Just shut the fuck up, Dan."
"You know you would miss me if I did, senpai ... oh, hang on. ... Okay. Sorry, senpai. I'll be gone soon. I have to leave in five minutes."
"Time's up, huh? Good. We don't want you in here. I bet you radiate bunnies and sparkles and happiness on sunny days. Go spread them around near a kindergarten or something where that belongs."
"It was nice to see you again too, Akutsu-senpai. I'll be back soon. I'll tell Yuki you looked good, okay?"
"Fuck you, Dan."
"I could tell her you said that, too, but I won't. ... I won't tell her you made that gesture, either."
"... She's doing okay ... right?"
"Yeah. She misses you, senpai. You never return her letters."
"Don't need her getting harassed by the neighbours or her landlord. Fucking snoops, can't even leave her alone. Go, before they lock you in here. I'm not going to guard your pansy ass from the other guys."
"I can take care of myself, senpai. We're not in junior high anymore."
"Hah. That's fucking obvious, Dan. Now get out. And tell her I got that picture of her on the beach. Tell her she needs to stop fucking losing weight because I'm not busting out of here to feed her."
"Okay, senpai. I'm leaving now. See you in two weeks, senpai."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."
Concrit loved--I wrote this in an experimental format since I was trying to disguise my style.
Er ... did it work?
