Yay! I loved this little interlude chapter and I'm so glad that Artie and Gabriel might become a match. Honestly, I hadn't even thought of the doctor and the disabled hybrid and now I feel silly that I didn't! And it's also really cool that Gabriel knows Kurt because I can totally see them being set up for play-dates together since both seemed to enjoy each others company, even if it was only because they were both compassionate outsiders. Maybe the doctor can get Artie one of those little wheelie-carts they make for disabled bunnies, cats and doggies. :)

I've had this planned, and mostly written, for a while now. I just needed the right place to put it in the story. I figured Kurt and Artie will be able to spend some time together; they definitely both need more friends. Thank you for reminding me about those little carts! I've seen them for dogs, but it hadn't occurred to me Artie might be able to use one of those, but they do make them for rabbits. I have a feeling a hybrid vet will know where to get them, or can have one custom-made.

Here's a vid of an amateur-built one that's both cute and functional. I wouldn't be surprised if there are places you can buy a bunny-cart. (Or maybe Kurt could build one! He seems like quite a creative soul and we know he loves helping others.)

Cool! I like that. I've seen some others that might work, but I think Kurt might like to at least try to come up with something.

Dr Hanover is a good man and Artie would be lucky if he did decide to adopt him!

They do seem like a good fit. It seems like it's been even harder on Artie than on Kurt, as far as prospective owners go.
