I'm glad Emma found the courage to go in spite of Will. She's far more insightful than he is, and she can both learn and teach a lot from her years as a hybrid store owner.
I also liked the suggestion to start a "mental exercise" class at the gym. They're right, it's a much bigger space and other hybrids would probably love a reading hour too, plus being part of a pet friendly gym should allay any suspicions about subversion of the current hybrid-human system.

I think Emma can be very valuable as an ally. She has a different perspective than anyone else they know, but at least she's open to learning new things, or admitting she's wrong.
I think more and more owners will learn about this by word of mouth. If they don't like the flyer, maybe a friend can tell them more about it. They can see it as day care of a sort, and the pet will have perhaps an easier way to meet others and might make some friends, and will end up with a new skill. At the least they can entertain themselves more easily.

It's interesting to consider [and you've done a great job incorporating] just how many different types of interactions the hybrids have to cope with -- with their owners, with other humans who may or may not be hostile to them, with other hybrids in their human forms and in their various hybrid forms, some of which might be 'naturally' antagonistic, and with non-hybrid animals -- and all from a position of little personal autonomy. The stress could be overwhelming.

Thank you! Yes, so many different rules, too, to think about in different situations. Trying to overcome some natural instincts such as dominance, territorialism, jealousy (my owner! Don't touch him!) or training (I can't speak to her without my owner's permission). They also have to remember when they're expected to be seen and not heard, and are often surprised when someone wants their opinion on something. Then there's the issue of how other pets are treated, which may be very different from what they're used to, and the feelings that might arise.
