lie to me

Was that just a compelling episode?

Actually really liked this one. It's a complete 360 from the first two. There was a coherent plot! Action! Foster! Girls with guns!

Stuff I liked :

1.) Wallowski. And her closet of big guns, oyeah. The candles and the sexy music, that one was clever and cool. And she asked Gillian out for a cup of coffee. (!!!) Female/female interaction of Bechdel proportions? GASP. Potential win, though I understand why Gillian would decline.

2.) Partners thing. There was a running theme--running themes, actually. Loyalty and partnership, cleanliness and corruption, change blindness for Cal that follows through from the last episode. There was continuity!

3.) The hallway scene. Not to mention Foster looked really hot in that dress And when they stalked off in different directions, leaving the IA woman in the dust, that was so symbolic and awesome.

I still think they're doing a poor job distributing screen time for the rest of the cast, as well as filtering in the actual science, and this was a stellar episode in part because we've known Wallowski for some time, she's likeable, and there were Lightman/Foster undertones. I'm crossing my fingers that next time we spend so much time with Cal/client, the results would be the same. AND MORE FOSTER, DAMMIT.

In other news, I've started watching Medical Investigation. It's pretty great so far, like if House and CSI had a TV lovechild. The characters that Kelli play all seem like multiple facets of each other, yet none of them are interchangeable. Natalie is like Foster's shy younger cousin. I'm still not getting any Stephan/Natalie vibes, but I've only watched a handful of episodes so far.

In other other news, oct0puss , I've been taking scriptwriting lessons in an extension program at school. It's one step closer to our dream of one day making a show with excellent continuity, amazing female characters and robots.  &hearts
