just in case it takes me way too long to get back to you, i feel i must mention one thing about dottish. when many dots are used, the person is usually just being silly. but a dot, used singly, represents such an intensity of emotion that it cannot be properly be expressed in any other way, shape or form. dots can show deep sympathy (like, "i feel for you so much but i just really don't know what to say"), intense happiness, sadness, etc. it's a great way to say "i miss you". or "hello stranger". context usually reveals it's meaning. :)
