TaraDog began wetting on the floor a month ago. At first I thought it was that she was getting older and I wasn't letting her out often enough. This was while I was feeling pretty cruddy myself. I did what I could to catch her at it get her out more often. Then I was out for half an hour last weekend and Tara wet on my bed! She sleeps behind my ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry that you're dealing with this -- and so sorry for how uncomfortable TaraDog is. [hugs]

Good luck with everything, I kmow that dealing with an older pet can be stressful on the pet and the owners.

My first thought was 'Oh my goodness, is she that old already?'

But poor Tara - especially if the diet is going to make her yeast infection worse.

{{{hugs for you both}}} - I hope you can get her back to good health.

Thanks, Possibly older IIRC I got her in 03 or 04 and she was at least 2 or 3 years old, she's still pretty bouncy for her age.

The vet said it was good thing she was a she because male dogs have a hollow bone in their penis that a stone can get caught in. I knew cats had barbs but didn't know this about dogs. my first thought [that I'm glad I didn't blurt out Anya style] was how come that was never in any of my werewolf romances?

My thought exactly. It doesn't seem long ago that you had WillowDog.

Poor TaraDog! I wish I could help - I'm so sorry you and she are going through this.

I was curious so I looked at her adoption papers. I got her in April of 05 and the Humane Soc. said she was 2 the vet stated 3 yrs. old on spay-and shot record dated the next day. I may of committed the sin of adding a year to her age.

She seems to be doing ok. She's really itchy and keeps me getting up to let her out. I lost the dog before Willow to cancer and it was terrible. So I'm very glad this is something that can be fixed.

Having a dog is like having a toddler until you have a senior citizen Tara still acts more toddler most of the time. {{HUGS}}

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! I guess getting old suckes whether you're a person or a dog. Hopefully she's doing better soon!

And I remember when you got her. Hard to believe it's been that long!
