This is my spn_j2_xmas gift for kellifer_fic. Apologies for the delay, and for being terribly out of practice. Your prompts were wonderful, and I did try to use them, but in the end, I went with your likes and wrote pre-series Gen.

Guh. That was just heartbreaking! Poor Dean, desperate to keep his family together, willing to give up everything to do it, but in the end knowing he's going to lose everything anyway. Eep. Someone give that boy a hug! (Hey, I saw him first!)

He thinks that this could be his life. Burgers and beer, spare parts for the truck, nights that always end in the same bed. All he'd have to give up is his family, his job.

Perfection.

Dean can see the dimples anchoring the corners of his smile from forty feet away, though, and it's obvious that he's already gone, stuck to this bass-ackwards town's cracked pavement like yesterday's gum.

Man, I love your writing like Dean loves Sam PIE. I want to eat it up and lick the plate. ♥
