Yeah...no.

I'm sorry, but if you use the words "vampire bride" in a fanfic while writing about a slash couple, I'm going to have to stop reading. That's just sad.

You also lose points for:

-you're/your confusion

-past/present tense issues

-anyone in a slash fic saying "angel" in reference to another man

Sigh.

That's why I have only ever read one author's fanfic. And even that....if it hadn't been xena uber, if the plots weren't so damned good and if she hadn't written an episode of xena I would not have gotten through it at all.
It's a phenomena of fanfic which I do not understand.

I have to admit, fanfic is definitely a little love of mine, but it has to be well done. I'm willing to give most things a chance, but some of them are just eye-searingly painful.

I actually tried reading some Xena uber at one point, but the characters didn't feel like they linked back to Xena and Gab enough for me.

you should give melissa good a try. http://www.merwolf.com/ffiction.html#dk just be a bit forgiving with grammar and the occasional instance of spontaneous minor character name change, and you should be okay. but they are pretty good stories.
