Well, it's been awhile since I updated. And a lot has happened.
Surfing is awesome.
Surfing is awesome.
Paddeling like crazy to catch a wave...
It's the best feeling in the world. I think at this point when I'm riding a wave, I'm ALWAYS in the zone.
So of course, my sister and I are up at 7 am getting ready to leave the house at 8 or so, and I'm freakin hungry and I learned not to surf when you've only had cereal to eat, the first time I surfed. So on our way to the beach, I pick up Macca's which thank god filled me up. There're a few more people for this lesson and my sister and I are still yawning like crazy. Of course the instructor asks me to show everyone my pop-up (and me being the only goofy foot, I looked like a retard) and then picks only me to surf first. And. I. Am. Stoked. And just before I get in the water the instructor shouts at the other students, "Watch and Learn!" And I'm thinking "NO!!" I'm gonna wipe out for sure now with all this pressure, and I have enough time to give my sis a quick glance of confusion/excitement/OMG. Haha. And thank god, this time my feet were quick and I rode my first wave of the day all the way to shorre. Yeah, I showed everyone at 9 am how I surfed. And the rest was perfect. Caught a few more waves on my own before my sister and I grabbed boogie boards and called ourselves kooks for paddeling like crazy and bumping into each other while boogie boarding. I'm so looking forward to this Saturday agian. More pictures to come. Oh, and everywhere I looked I called every guy with blonde hair, Mick Fanning. =)
Me: "OMG, OMG Look...Right there..I think that's Mick Fanning!"
My sister: "YOU ARE SO WIERD. That's not him!"
But, who could forget Sophie?
EDIT:
Saturday? Goodbye longboard, helllooo shortboard. Watch me as I wipeout and STILL think of Mick Fanning.
