Hello all,

87 comments on the last post; it would take me forever to reply to every single one. A lot of anonymous comments revealed the gray turmoil enshrouding the lives of some of these posters, and I am not going to say something lame, or try falsely to make anyone feel better by saying, "it's going to be alright ( Read more... )

I'm going through one of the hardest events of my life right now, and it's so easy just to get lost in my own self-pity. You're right that I should be strong and resilient, but I sometimes I feel like I don't even want to get over it. I've tried to get over it and to move on, but each time something happens that takes me back to square one and it's so discouraging when that happens. =\

You're right that saying "it will be all right" might not be true. Everyone is going through something different and while we may all have similar feelings we will all end up with different outcomes... some good, some bad. I think what you said about being strong and becoming an inspiration for other was very nicely put. :)

Oh ugh, the self-hate stage. I went through that and I think I'm over it and moving on. It's just a very hard thing to do.

There is a lot of suffering here on LJ which I guess is because it is a virtual microcosm of life and life has suffering. Accepting it is hard, especially for those slightly more sensitive types like myself, but it can be done. Friends just all have to stick together and boost each other up when they can.

I say don't just stave up against suffering to be an inspiration to others, but to show yourself how resilient you really are.
