So, Friday night, several of the CSprings Mage players headed up to Denver to help them out with their big, nasty, Nephandi plot line. Fun joy! My hermetic gets to meet the Garou, and maybe if she's lucky...poke one! Well, the night started out with the ST running tests with the Mages for all of our effects. No biggie, but its irritating to run tests for a lvl 1 effect that you a) have the rote for and b) do everyday. No biggie, other then the st not allowing some of our crazy mage cheese, even though he had allowed same said cheese weeks earlier at a previous game.
So, we begin. The garou are not too terrible, some of them are rude, some of them are friendly, all of them tell Avery she is NOT going to go play with the nasty Nephandi...*pout* Not that she minded, she knew that Charlie wasn't going to let her go anyways, it was just damn funny when Paddy pointed at her...and just stood there, and she kinda looked behind her, and moved out of his way, and he said, "She isn't going, is she???" Then, when she teasingly said, "They never let me go play..." He just kinda looked at her and said, "Well then, you shouldna fucked, now should've you??" hehe!
Anyways...on to the big nasty battle. First sign that this is going to suck....the ST tells the Garou...."OH yeah, you guys can have whatever you want up, because I know you do it enough to get it...." Ok...so, WTF, you made the mages run tests for EVERY FUCKING ROTE THEY HAD UP! Plus, you were being an ASS about grades of success. So, this sounds really fair, right? Oh, and by the way, this is a MAGE game, where the GAROU have cross venued in. Our game, you should fucking pay attention to US.
So the combat starts. Most of the beginning stuff is narrated. My char stays on the ship so she doesn't get her pregnant ass beat. So, they get to the nasty thing, and they go in, and my mind link with one of the other mages drops. Fuck. LAter, when one of the other chars said, "What kind of wards do I sense" there was NO mind ward mentioned. So basically, he dropped it because he hates the mages. Ok, no biggie. So, my mage starts playing with the big nasty spirits, makes them start following the ship, pulling them away from the entrance, good fun.
Meanwhile, in the castle of doooom...the pc's are getting fucked. Well, at least, it seemed that the mage pc's were getting fucked. And maybe I was just catching that part, but yeah....every big effect that they tried to cast, just kind of got brushed off. People got skipped in rounds, because the ST would NOT listen to the mage players. It was really damn irritating.
That continued, more spirits come, fuck up the ship, and Avery crosses back into the real world...where the guy flying the ship promptly crashes. *rolls eyes* Ok, thats cool. She heads back to the park, where it is in the real world, to try to help. She tries to raise the gauntlet; fails miserably. Big nasty nephandi grabs her, pulls her out, ST will not let me do ANYTHING....etc, etc. Neffie tosses her in labor, which tosses her into her master seeking, and she gets yanked out. Thank God for MY ST.
SOOOO...this continues. The mages get FUCKED....the Garou seem to do whatever....all in all, the players were fucking fabulous, the game sucked monkey cock. The st was incredibly irresponsible throughout the whole ordeal, and I'm glad only 1 pc was lost.....which was ANOTHER crappy thing! His pc, and the player, got ignored for 4 HOURS. Well, when the st finally turned to him, his pc got sucked into a bubble, and tossed into outerspace, where it, of course, died, becuase there were no other pcs around. THAT was also shitty.
So yeah...NEVER going to Denver to play mage again, unless there is a different ST. I loved playing with everyone...but just don't like they style. So, I was pissed....rant over.... :D
