April/August is a story of two people - two completely different people, with different likes, different families, different goals, different life expectancies. August is meant to destroy the world; April is meant to save it. They shouldn't know each other; they shouldn't like each other. But whoever said opposites attract was a wise man.
August Cardiff was born mid-December (he never tells anyone what day exactly). He grew up alone, in darkness, hidden from almost everything that was normal. But he was fine with that; he liked being alone. He's stubborn, rude, swears more than a living person should, and has the worst sense of humor. He has never loved - not his parents, not his friends. Love is foreign to the boy.
April Bird, on the other hand, likes things. She loves the sun. She likes gardening and walking around barefoot in the grass. She moved to Herbishire when she was seven. Her life changed completely from that moment on. April was no longer a normal girl - but something so much more that she couldn't even explain.
