Love for history-change conversation aprilp_katje August 28 2008, 23:08:15 UTC
howtheduck, the conversation at the "History Rewrite Office" was snarking genius. I especially enjoyed the characters arguing about the illogic of the retcons. :)

I'm glad you liked it. After reading the Anthony biography, I could not leave it unsnarked.

don't lose a rhythm ya have by having an arrhythmia!" it was terrible.

It was terrible. I loved it. If only Pattersons could make bad puns as well as you do.

Thanks. I think the essential problem is that the Pattersons believe their puns are good. ;)

Squee! Anthony's-family video transcript aprilp_katje August 29 2008, 01:59:52 UTC
Loved this! Especially the advice for Anthony's NEXT wedding and (awwww!) the fact that you named the step-grandparents Hubert and Sophie. :)

I noticed the step-grandparents didn't have any names, so Hubert and Sophie fit perfectly, as if they should be in any proper biography of Anthony's.

Of course they should--I'm glad you see the logic. :)

Guillaume Meilleux love howtheduck August 29 2008, 20:40:54 UTC
aprilp_katje,

I loved your Guillaume Meilleux. You got some first rate snark with your video transcript. I just had to use him again with another video transcript. I hope you don't mind.

I'm glad that you liked Guillaume. I adored your follow-up conversation and was thrilled to see Guillaume worked in. Also, I enjoyed your snarking on the showing-off-on-the-dancefloor concept. I'd actually meant to work in a reference to that, but then forgot to do so. And the whole exchange at the Dingle/Arsenault table was snarkilicious. Love that Roger Arsenault had been nailed with a sexual-harassment suit. :)

There is no way that Roger Arsenault, as he was portrayed in that biography, would avoid one. He was so over-the-top with his sexism, he made 1979 John Patterson look like a feminist.

Seriously. What kind of people does Beth C. interact with?

aprilp_katje,

I guess there are no sacred subjects now? You have fired off the snark cannon and are taking no prisoners with that wedding transcript.

Your skewering of the bio inspired me. :)
