The problem is that most people don't know who Stephane Dion is. And the Liberal campaign (and hell, I am a card carrying member - I voted in the leadership race, though not for Dion. I donated to the campaign funds -- as I did with another party) isn't doing ANYTHING to help that. Hard to vote for someone if you don't know who the fuck he is. Most Canadians don't know that Dion has a hearing problem and think he just speaks poorly.

And no, they aren't making the effort to find out, because too many people have accepted that this election will change nothing.

I'm missing all this stuff, too, mostly. I've been in Louisville, Kentucky since before they called the election.

But I've followed over the internet just enough to know that the French debate is tonight, and the English one tomorrow. I'll be looking for translation summaries of tonight's, and highlights of Thursday's.
