Canadian Candy

Oct 23, 2008 11:59

This being a great time of year to pick up candy in bulk, and having received requests, I'm asking the Americans if they know what they want.

Or if Canadians have any suggestions.

I know Coffee Crisp was on the list.

One of my friends who has been living in the US feels that Canadian Oreo cookies are different and superior to US ones. Not sure if it's just from the area she's been living (Seattle) or all of the US though.

Smarties. I know I also take some of the flavoured Kit Kats down for Melissa, because those tend not be widely available. They also don't know what MacIntosh Toffee is.

Well, my local grocery store has a large Halloween box of Aeros and Coffee Crisps and Smarties and (plain) KitKats on sale, so I think that's where I'll start. And apparently MacIntosh Toffee. Oh, and maple sugar!!!

I was pretty sure I'd heard the Coffee Crisp request from you. I definitely remember a Conglom conversation where you offered bodice-making in exchange for Canadian candy, which is what inspired this post. So, while I love those at THOMP, it is you I want to please most of all.

Even if you didn't ask for Coffee Crisps, I know I need to bring them because Kate and Roger were both excited one night about a Mocha Milkshake from a fast food restaurant, that tasted much like Coffee Crisp.
