So the guy who trained me on the second kind of right-hand-drive vehicle (there are two kinds, with slight differences) was different than the guy who trained me Tuesday, yeah? He said that the guy who trained me Tuesday was really impressed with me, especially after learning it had been 12 years since I'd driven. I impressed the guy today too.

Nope!

We got a lot of training on dogs. We carry pepper spray in a spot that's easy to reach, and we're told not to go into a yard if a dog is loose and we feel the tiniest bit worried.

Very cool! It sounds like work is awesome! And nice that you're hitting the lovely summer time! Well hopefully it's sunnier down there than it is in Seattle right now. But yay! It sounds like fun! It's true though I haven't seen many young women at post offices... Perhaps they'll put you on a recruiting poster! （＾∇＾）

It was POURING and COLD the last few days! Gaaaah. Supposedly the day before yesterday was a new record for cold on that day.

Being a mail carrier is a blue-collar job, really. (Literally, in terms of our uniforms.) It has more women than most, but women in trades/blue-collar jobs often come to them later, IMHO, when they look at jobs that don't require a college degree and actually pay well, and/or they get sick of retail hell.
