My knee wound is officially itchy. I have an ice pack on it right now because you can't feel both cold and itching at the same time. So my body has decided to make it feel like stinging instead, even under the ice. Motherfucker. I wonder if I can put Neosporin underneath the Tegaderm....we have the kind with a numbing agent in it!

I don't have any extra hands 99% of the time, or any way to carry a stick, plus I'm mostly looking down.

Alas, that would make it difficult to get close enough to mail slots.

It would be another method of dealing with aggressive dogs, though!

Neosporin under Tegaderm: Yes. I've done that before when I had a bit of road rash that was infected and wouldn't heal.

Good to know! It's fine right now, but hell, anything to speed the healing at this point.

I'm going to have a gnarly scar. Not to get too gross, but I have, like, canyons in my knee. I'm oddly fascinated by them. I keep wanting to show people but I know most people don't want to see it!

Does Keflex cause yeast infections because it kills beneficial bacteria?

Pretty much all antibiotics can cause yeast infections, because yeah, they don't separate good bacteria from bad, they just kill them all, and then one bacteria takes over.

Boric acid (not the same thing as borax) in capsules lowers the pH of the vagina to where it's inhospitable to the specific bacteria that cause yeast infections. But it's not acidic enough to do any harm.

Yeah! The nerve endings can't receive both signals at once! It's a cool thing to know.

I was thinking specifically of you when I did the warning. Glad it worked!
