I've read two really awesome Mentalist fanfics recently, both are AU after the season 3 finale, and they made me want more AU's in this fandom. My cravings are leaning a bit more towards the extreme AU rather than one that simply veers off course from current canon ( Read more... )

I read both! I liked "Red Death" the best. And not because of Jane/Lisbon and zombies :p It just flowed better than the other story, and worked well as a little excerpt in time in a zombie infested world. "Same Old Thing" was kind of blah. The idea was interesting, but I felt like it was meant for a longer story. It cuts off leaving you unfulfilled.

Lol That would be a start! Maybe, I should just get everyone to throw out little suggestions like that, make a list and post that in my bio. I always draw a blank trying to write it myself ;)
