[How the Stark family had gotten the personal cell number of Antonio Carriedo was actually pretty easy to figure out, and Romano had decided that hiding behind the sofa until his boss calmed down was a damn good idea. And once that had happened, it was an even better idea to arrange a meeting full of pretense and false friendliness, just to knock ( Read more... )

[Antonio's a pretty affable guy. He always has been. But this was like taking his tomatoes and squishing them. ALl of them. A really good harvest. And that the person squishing them happened to be English. Upon hearing the news, it took a few moments for it to properly register--and then immediately called his brother.]

Afonso. [It sure wasn't yelling, not yet anyway--but it was definitely clipped and angry as the elder of the two Carriedo brothers picked up.] What the hell is this?

[Afonso picks up the phone lazily and cradles it between his shoulder and his cheek, stirring a pot of sauce as he talks. He's pretty sure he knows what this call is about--Tonio must have found out they're here.]

Uhm. Tomato sauce for baked cod?

[Normally, Antonio would have found that hilarious. This is not so hilarious.]

How do they know, Afonso? I doubt you're involved, but that thing you call a husband has to be...!

[Oh. Oh. Arthur had mentioned going out to do business-y things earlier that day. Normally Afonso accompanied him, but he'd sworn it was nothing special, just a meeting. This must have been it. After being related to the mafia for so long--and serving as a general informant--you start to pick up on things that could happen pretty quickly. After all, Arthur hated Antonio. Or more of, Antonio hated Arthur and Arthur thought it was hilarious to screw with him.

... Well, shit.]

I don't know anything, Toni. If I did, I'd tell you. You know that.

[Lucifer was realllly getting tired of these sort of meetings, between Russians and British people and now this. But as he told himself repeatedly, it served the purpose of passing leadership onto Sho and clearing the Stark family name from the FBI's investigation, so it was worth it.

Sariel had dropped him and Sho off at one of the old Stark offices. It wasn't used anymore, but was still kept clean and respectable, with a damn good sized board room on the second floor. That's where he was, spinning in one of the chairs until everyone else arrived.] Meh.

[Antonio arrives on time this time--that's how you can tell he's pissed. But, by his expression, it would be impossible, as he was smiling affably, like nothing in the world was wrong. Lovino and Feliciano tailed behind him as he entered, and he nodded his head to Lucifer and Sho.]

Gentlemen.

[Romano looked as sullen and prickly as ever as he followed Antonio in. He really wasn't supposed to say a darn thing at this particular meeting, but he did look back at his brother to ensure that everything had been set up properly.] {Are we good to go Feli?}
