The Summer Plot Came Blowing In
Okay, ladies and ...ladies. It's about half way through may, so if we want a good summer storyline, we should start now.
I am, more or less, going to declare the fall plotline done and over with, simply because the two remaining threads are stalling and a lot of us want to move on. For a plotline that had that many parts, two stalled threads aren't too bad and I assume they'll finish at...some point.
HAVING SAID THAT I feel we should address the strengths and weaknesses the previous storyline brought up! In general, we told a really amazing story, and the plotting couldn't have gone smoother. Execution, I feel, is a bit different. We had a lot of people to wait on and sometimes the time it took was frusterating - at least for me. We did demonstrate that we can do multi-person action posts - to which I say BRAVA to all participants - and that the idea of "We need this post to dump this information" worked really well in general. I feel that in terms of speed, I would like us to be able to finish threads faster.
All in all, brava, brava, brava to everyone who was in on the Red Invasion. Which brings us to our as-of-yet-unnamed-Summer 2010-storyline.
In our last post we batted around a few ideas. There seems to be slightly more concerte ideas, so to repeat: the basic plot is this - the FBI is sending to agents into the city to investigate the indication that the Sicilian Cosa Nostra has begun to operate and sell drugs within the city. This much is true - Cosa Nostra has begun to use dock space owned by Gouka Health Industries to import packages of cocaine, with the kind-of-sort-of permission of current CEO Zekerion. (He probably assumes it's liquor, not hard drugs.) The Stark Family is dealing with another drug related snafu, in the form of the Egyptian mafia requesting permission to move in and start selling on the Family's turf. From there, we have blankness, and a lot of room to manuever.
