Seven days since the last time I was on MySpace. So far so good. I still check out friends pages, okay, like three of my friends' pages, but I never log in. I try to avoid even checking their pages because there's always that temptation to hang around a little longer ( Read more... )

MySpace is too emo for me. Sure, LJ is all about angsty posts and and internet drama, but I feel like if you want to be cool on MySpace you have to cut yourself and post pictures of it or something.

Also, some 15 year old kid in Jersey took the MySpace username stufff and makes posts about how he likes rainbows and Slipknot and Invader Zim.

I dont see myspace as being emo. I see it as a popularity contest more than anything, which I refuse to participate in. I maintain a friends list of less than 80 (I know I know, doesn't sound like maintaining, but there are people with 100,000 friends. Trust me, I'm maintaining). Basically if they dont keep in contact, they mosey right off my list.

But if it's not your thing, that's cool too. And I completely understand about the name thing. That's truly yer trademark er something. It's nice to be back on LJ though. So much less to be dedicated to.
