Oh honey, it's not just teenagers. My best friend is 35 (just like me) and adores the entire series. I, OTOH, read the first book and told her not to bother giving me the rest. I mean, 200+ pages of a teenage girls' whining followed by a chapter and a half of 'action' does not make for interesting reading to me. Blech.

Oh, thank god, there are still people who don't like Twilight out there...

Have you read the Inkheart trilogy? It's supposed to be aimed at the 'younger reader', but Cornelia Funke manages to make it an amazing story for readers of any age. She has a knack for showing the tension between adults, too, and doesn't make it obvious :)

Also, the teens in Inkheart are real teenagers, not angst-ridden morons with no self-esteem.

No, I haven't read it, though I'm stoked for the movie (Brendan Fraser, yum!). I'll look that one up, thanks!

I'm counting the days till the premiere here... why does it take 4 month to make a decent translation?

I'll probably download it before it hits the cinemas, though. Just to see brendan Fraser as Mo :D
