of course, you remove the spaces between the brackets and what's inside of them. also, you don't have to have the text="subject"> part, and it will say "read more" as a default.

this is just a standard courtesy on Livejournal, as entries such as this one take up rather a LOT of space on my Friends list. pleeeease use the lj-cut in such instances :)

ugh.. crap. you keep the bracket, but don't need to keep the text="subject" part.

i'm just so used to using it myself that i left the bracket there. whoops.
