I would recommend getting an idea of where you'd like to go to grad school, checking out their individual programs, and perhaps talking to the people there. Those directly associated with your institution of choice will have a better understanding of their own program(s) than your counselors at VCU. They might require you to take courses there to "catch up" with other neuroscience students. Also, the lack of a strong science background puts you at a disadvantage.
You can always come here. NCF has a good neuroscience program, even if those professors are pretty close to batshit.
