it's not exactly as if this is different from most anyone else that you know. ;)
Anyways, i doubt the question is really what you want to get out of life. It's really quite simple. Do you want to live comfortably? Do you want to accomplish anything? Do you just wish to do nothing?
Remember; it's your life. You don't owe anyone your accomplishments. I think this is more a question of effort: How much effort do you want to put into your life? what is worth the expenditure of your effort?

so you're saying that life is based on accomplishments? as if lives are gauged on how much of a dent you leave? To me that only makes sense if you're not aware of it. actually, the only thing I live for is the craving to understand and a tinge of altruism.
lol, and the more you understand the more you know you don't understand right? masochists unite.

My life is certainly based upon accomplishments, but yours is not neccesarily so. The point is that you generally do not recieve anything for no investment, no matter what the payoff.
Education is an accomplishment, tho. If you want to be a professional student, do so. There are a fair amount of institutions to deal with that. However, you seem unsure about a path. Where do the uncertainties come from?

education, knowledge, understanding, same thing. The whole competition thing irks me so much since it reminds me of animal culture. Accomplishments, to me, just mean respect and justification for efforts. My path isn't uncertain, just the goal.
