We share feelings, we share toys....

OMG I love that man! Have I mentioned that I love that man yet? I haven't even mentioned who that man is, you say? None other than Gregory House, of course! But what's really sad is that I actually mean that.

OK, enough squee. On to the meat and potatoes!

Today's episode had to be one of the best in the entire series. Seriously. I mean, the stalker? Hell yeah. You know she was living a fangirls dream...but seriously, I think this is irrefutable proof that House is a person. Men who were almost 50 do not turn down offers of sex from gorgeous girls who are almost 18, not even when it is in their best interest to do so. And he only would have had to string her along for a few months before she was legal and he was home free. No, he tricked her into thinking she had some disease that made her want him. Why? Because he is not, in fact, a complete bastard, despite Wilson's claims to the contrary.

And this brings me to my next point. Wilson, bitch does not look good on you, kthxbai. I understand that you are in complete denial, and living with House pushed you out of your comfort zone. I understand that you had to pull away. I even understand that you are just being so bitchy because he scared the hell out of you by getting shot and almost dieing (but the really scary part was that it scared you so much, wasn't it? A straight man is only allowed to get so messed up when his best friend almost dies you know....). So of course you pull back and get bitchy! From your standpoint, that is obviously the best tactical decision. But enough is enough! You're just making yourself miserable, and House isn't having the time of his life either, you know. I was heartened to know that even when your bitchy and scared, you will do what needs to be done for House, even if that means straight out lying to your boss, a woman who you respect. My only question now is...was that your idea, or House's?

Okay, that's enough talking to a TV character like they can actually hear me. ^^;

As for the Asperger's--which is, of course, what's on everyone's mind, I don't think House has it. I think there were elements of truth to what Wilson said (the best lies always come from the truth-that's why House is so good at it). Yes, House did need the carpet back, but it wasn't because he has Asperger's, it was because he wasn't ready to "close" the shooting yet, so to speak. He is still dealing with what happened to him, and he needs to be the one to decide when he's ready to let that go. The carpet was just symbolic-Cuddy couldn't move on for him, he had to do it himself, or it wouldn't be real. Which makes what he did to the toy in Wilson's office especially ironic; he was essentially doing to Wilson the same thing Cuddy was doing to him. Except I think that Wilson didn't mind, I think he was actually ready and House picked up on that. Anyway.

And yes, he obviously has trouble making friends, etc., but not to the point that someone with Asperger's would have. In a psychological diagnosis, everything is a matter of degree. It's not like a physical ailment, where you either have it or you don't. Everyone has symptoms of mental disorders, but they don't have the mental disorder. For you to be classified as actually having it, it has to consume your life, in a way. It's like: Everyone gets sad, right? But not everyone has depression. The two are completely different. It's the same thing with House. Yes, he's a bit of an ass, but that's all. For one thing, he really doesn't want to be friends with a lot of people. It's not that he can't, although he obviously doesn't have the social skills of an...expert social skills person, he also doesn't want to have the social skills of said person. That's the key difference. He could do it, if he wanted too. So not only does he not have the intensity of symptoms for it to be Asperger's, but the symptoms are there for different reasons.

As for the child, I think House did see some of himself in there, but not because he has Asperger's. He knows what it's like to be a burden to your parents (or at least feel like your a burden to your parents, which is what matters). Also, I fucking love you kid! Finally someone sees beyond House's facade. It makes sense that it would be an autistic child to do so. They deal much better with the things that aren't spoken. It's why they tend to be so good with animals. And Houses, apparently ;)

Wow that was long. So, questions, comments, etc.? Please send them my way.

~but we don't share offices.

Yes, I totally stole that style from you Nina. So sue me! Or talk to me more, I could live with that.
