To Kill a Mockingbird is lovely. Of course the book is always better, but still a good movie. Young!Robert Duvall, in his debut, I think.

Also, the music is simply lovely as well.

The music is incredible. I bought the soundtrack for my Dad, for we are Bernstein fans, and we crank it alot. Young!Robert Duvall, yes! And Gregory Peck. Oh, that man. I love him so.

My 11th English class read the book, so when were done, we watched the movie. I was very impressed with the music and told my mom, knowing she would like it, and we bought the soundtrack right away, as well. I too love cranking it. The opening is my favorite, just gorgeous.

I read somewhere that Bernstein wasn't sure how to write the music until he approached the music from a children's POV.

I first read it in seventh grade, I think. I guess Catholics like to start 'em young, you know? And it makes sense, that fact about Bernstein going from a child's point of view, the music is simple, so sweet, but full of so many emotions. Just like kids, lol.
