A rainbow only exists when the water vapor is exposed to light at the proper angle. So, some information is only visible when it is exposed to a stimulus wave (light, sound, etc...). The smaller the particles, the more complete and solid looking the image. The "noise" that the device was picking up was in response to a sound wave. The theory is that, much like the information held at the event horizon of a black hole, the things that are happening here are the result of a stimulus wave somewhere far the hell away.

I've always been fascinated by that old story of the people in the cave who only see shadows, and invent wild stories of monsters. Is our existence the shadows . . . thrown up in relief against the wall?
So, I am very curious. I think I can see the one dream, one being . . . but why "in the course of one night?"
