So...just curious.

Was Dawkins saying all this to try and debunk the concept of divine intervention that often seems like coincidence....?

That's not what Dawkins was trying to do in the course of the chapter containing that paragraph. Dawkins is an atheist though, so it stands to reason he already doesn't believe in divine intervention.

I like Dawkins and am very interested in what he has to say, which is why I'm reading one of his books. :)
