Back into the breach

It was a hectic month, with the typical madness at work, loads of house guests and short trips away. Bouncing credit cards at hotel checkout, lost debit cards on the way to airports, forgotten gig tickets, the sorts of thing that can be quite trying even at the best of times. They used to play heaps of Devendra on RTR. New/avant/freak/alt folk. Catching up with some rest sounds like a plan.

Sad to hear you won't be visiting us in the very near future, but hope to catch up with you soon.

I find that when you take a day off due to illness at a busy time, it is a very good barometer to work out who is a reasonable human being, and who is a self-important ass.

And yes, Devendra live was lovely, and the audience too.

I am very sorry to hear about ongoing work stress. Lately I am realizing more about more that it is just not worth it, as stress leads to illness. This may sound evangelistical, but mini meditations really do help.

Those tarts and tartins sounds awesome!!!
