Latin today was fun. We've started studying The Aeneid, and the following conversation came up.

Mrs MacFarlane: So, what are Nisus and Euryalus?
Pupil 1: Trojans.
Pupil 2: Warriors.
Mrs MacF: Yes, what else?
Pupil 3: Gay?
Mrs MacF: Yes.
*pause*
A depressingly large amount of students: EWWW! OMGWTFBBQ??!!!!1 *Pandemonium ensues*

Ahem... I wrote a paragraph ( Read more... )

It has to be noticed. Our Classics class spent a fair amount of time trying to freak out Tansy after the following exchange:

Tansy: "No! They're just good friends!"
Sam L: "Yeah. Good friends... bending over."

And god bless Maccy F for being such a dude about such things. ^^

Nice paragraph, by the way, kind of reminds me about some ancient Near East stuff I've read about.

I love Mrs MacFarlane. She's one of those teachers who I will remember for ever and ever.

I think I also love Sam L, whoever she is. =]

Ohh, I knew Debbie would tell you that story XD That was hilarious, poor Tansy. (Sam L = Sam Lavelle, and she is quite fun XD)

Mrs McFarlane is the awesome. She's a great teacher, and so much fun once you get into sixth form and she can be a bit less formal.

You're doing book nine for lit, then? That should be fun - lots of the gay! We did book 4, which is very much het-based XD

Yeah, but I read ahead to the bit where their heads are discovered. I was picturing them as looking like my favourite characters from Sailor Moon too, and it made me sad.

Believe me, they sound like they have the exact same personalities as Kunzite and Zoisite. Kunzite = tall, muscly, warrior-type with attitude problems. Zoisite = pretty boy who bursts into tears easily and is hopelessly in love with his 'Kunzaito-sama'.

Aww, it is sad v_v I'm not sure about that comparison, though. I think Nisus is more the hopelessly in love one, really. Euryalus is a bit of an idiot - but they're still adorable.

Oh, and the paragraph is good (which I apparently forgot to say before ^^;; ) - very vivid descriptio, I like it.
