I miss Tommy's writing and his friendship. We never met in person but he was one of my longest-standing LJ friends. There are days when I write an entry and I still expect him to comment. And that thought is both a sad one and a happy one; sad in knowing that won't happen but happy in knowing I will never forget him.
Even though we never met, I considered Tommy a good friend. I think of him often; just last night Led Zeppelin's "Rain Song" came on my MP3 player and I thought of him. It's nice to see a photo of him here. Thank you.
There's barely a day that goes by that I don't think of Tommy. I'll hear a song, read a political article or see the surgical scars that my own battles with the sickness left behind and recall his wit, his love of his family and the soul-bearing nature of his writing. It was and remains an honor to have been able to call him my friend.
