As a water bearer, do you get obsessed easily? How do you deal with obsession?

I get obsessed constantly! The problem with me is that I'll go through obsessions quickly. I'll totally obsess, then forget about whatever I was obsessing over and move on.

And it's very hard not to obsess over whatever. Like when I get a new gadget (which I have).

I just let it run it's course and realize that THAT'S what it is.

Oh, obsession is my middle name. That's one of the reasons why I'm into fandom. It's my outlet for obsession.

But I agree that I do drop those obsessions and nearly forget them. While I have a few pet subjects that I obsess with over long periods of time, most of my obsessios die after a couple of weeks.

I think my obsession comes from my curiosity, I feel a bit of that same obsession about my Economy and Philosophy classes right now, so I guess that not all of my obsessions are bad for me.

Obsessed? No.
Fascinated? Yes!

I agree with leirda though, even fascinations grow old quickly.

Why else would I own 80 something tarantulas, hundreds of books, 30 something houseplants, etc...

Some things I am content to learn and move on, others stay

definitely me! i'll get interested in a subject, and research it to DEATH. i agree with just_jo2 that it's more fascination than complete obsession, though. some things have stuck around for a long time, but most fall by the wayside after i dive into them head first and overload my brain with information =P

I'm prety much the same. I will totally be drawn into a subject and want to know mre, but like most things, once I've looked into it enough and find it doesn't hold much else to discover or I've transitioned in terms of taste, it retreats tot he back of my brain somewhere. Only a couple fo things have kept my interest for the long haul; probably because they are always growing and changing.
