For the 365 drabble challenge [and because I wanted to at least post something fanfiction related]:
Title :  FALLEN
Fandom: Fire Emblem 7
Character/s: Fiora
Pairings: none
Word count: 349
A/N: I might regret this later on, but I just wanted to see what anyone thinks of this. It's certainly not my best writing. Somewhat edited.

The screams. All she could hear were the screams of her platoon as they were falling, plummeting down to the earth, all around her, even as she raises her javelin so she can throw it into an archer’s heart. Out of the thick mist, she can see an arrow heading for her, she dodges it. Out of the corner of her eye she can see a Pegasus tumbling towards the earth, the rider still perched upon it’s back, red roses of blood spilling over her chest, staining her lilac armour…

She nudges the side of her Pegasus and the Pegasus swoops down, rushing towards the archer, javelin in hand. She spins her javelin above her head and, with all her might; she throws the javelin at the archer. It kills him instantly: his blood seeping into the snow, turning it a pale sort of scarlet while the eyes go dull. Her blood roars through her veins with approval.   She smiles as the Pegasus flies towards the archer and lovingly strokes the soft and smooth flesh of her Pegasus, feeling warmth seep into her cold fingers, admiring the dazzling white coat, that so reminds her of her homeland.

“You and I aren’t going to die!” she says softly, defiance in her tone. She tugs the javelin out from the archer’s heart; it glimmers dully, stained with crimson blood. She sees the arrow too late to dodge it. And she can only watch, petrified, as it shoots towards her like an airborne sentence of death.

Darkness, one of the things she both hates and loves, is all she can see now.  She can feel the rush of wind as her Pegasus falls. There’s screaming, a woman screaming, no, wait, it was herself. She screams as burning hot pain snakes down her body. And all she can see is darkness…

She wakes up to the sound of  distant screaming.  And the familiar darkness taunting her, mocking her with the fact that she is alone, that no one understands her grief.  In the darkness she weeps. For those who had fallen, but for herself too, for leading them into that death-trap. And living with it’s memory.
