I've got an account on Dreamwidth. I'm called equillibrium, so if anyone on my f-list that is on DW wants to add me, then go ahead!
It's a mirror of my journal here, really.
I've been meaning to tell you guys about my day out with my friends last year, because it was awesome. I won't specify where, but we saw a lot of stalls selling lots of amazing things such as roasted chestnuts which smelled great [but we didn't try any, unfortunately], fake snow which the lady kindly demonstrated on my hand which felt very weird, hand made soap and bath salts as well as beautiful leather bound notebooks. I literally stopped at most of the stalls just to investigate their wares, and had a great time smelling the hand made soaps which were and then one of my frinedso pleasing to my nose that I wanted to eat them [ahh, the unfairness of lovely scented candles and soaps!]. I also tried my first ever churro with vegan chocolate. Twas very lovely indeed! I think the vegan chocolate went well with the churro.
Before we got to the stalls, we saw some dancers performing, man were they good! They were doing handstands and sitting on each other's heads, at one point I think that they were wobbling slightly so I was scared that they were going to fall off. But they didn't, thank goodness.
We then went into the building to see if anything free was going on, but there wasn't so we just looked around at a bookshop that one of my friends said was 'amazing'. There were so many books! And so expensive too! I didn't want to spend my money on the few that I could afford, nor could I afford to actually buy one or two that I wanted to read. So I've memorised one or two of them, in the hopes that I shall read them. By the way, has anyone read 'The Summer of Drowning' by John Burnside? If so, how did you find it?
We spent some time in the bookshop, decided to get out before blowing all our money in the bookshop and then one of my friends went home after which I decided to go along and help my other friend pick out some clothes for her sister as part of a Christmas present. I picked out a pair of trousers or pants which my friend was really pleased with and the sister loved it especially so yay!
I did however cave and get a beautiful leatherbound notebook! I do regret blowing the £10 I had left though, but still, I was and am so very happy even though I have no idea what to do wiht it. I feel my scribbles in it will be inferior to the paper ):
And now for an approximation of my notebook in picture form:
My parent's/teacher evening is coming up in about 2 weeks, which I am not looking forward to due to my Chemistry teacher's appointment. I've been getting Us in that subject for a while now, and last week, on a test that I thought I had done well in, I got another U. 'sighs' I haven't discussed it with my mother, and I don't really want to. She's seen the progress grades, so she does know but she hasn't talked to me about it.
In happier news, I did get my first solid A in my Russian history assessment! Top of the class, I hope.
I also wanted to ask if anyone has any thoughts on Nino/Jaffar's ending and how it would work out in real life?
Maybe it's just because I'm a cynic, but I could never picture them happy together for a long time, because I have a feeling that Jaffar is emotionally stunted as in their C level support conversation, he says 'I did not feel...I did what I was told' and Nino may not know what love is due to her lack of experience in the subject. The latter may not matter as much as the former idea of mine in regard to their relationship working out, but for whatever reason, I think that they would realise that their relationship was a mistake, then break up or stay friends.
