[Video] Locked From Usagi's View

Dec 05, 2011 14:09

[Ami appears on the screen, her soft features hardened into a gravely serious expression.]

Alright.

[She lifts up a finger as though she's about to wag it, but instead it remains erect beneath her chin.]

As expected, Usagi-chan is not being forthcoming in the slightest as to what has transpired here prior to my arrival. [Re-arrival? Doesn't ( Read more... )

This place takes a toll after a while, and Usagi has been here over a year.

[Juliet sees this after she's seen Usagi's more recent post. This must be Ami-chan of whom she'd spoken, given how she refers to the other woman.]

Many things have happened here, Lady, and not all of them good things. The tricks the Animus play can be most cruel, and the ones of late have been especially so. We were made to think that we were mad, that everything we knew here was but a dream born of madness, and that we were imprisoned at home, cut off from everyone we held dear to us. Before that, the Animus filled the city with gravestones that would show a phantom image of the death of the person whose name was inscribed upon the marker. I cannot speak for Usagi, but I know such things affected many of us deeply.

She also is greatly saddened when one she loves is stolen away by the Animus. It is one of the many things we seem to have in common.

[A look of horror washes over Ami's face. She snaps out of it for a moment in order to be sure to be polite.]

Thank you. This is excellent information.

If such will help Usagi, then I am glad of it. She has been a good friend to me, and brought me solace when the gravestones appeared, and then when my cousin disappeared just after.

[Manners, Juliet. She curtsies.]

Forgive me, I have been most rude. I am Juliet Montague. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, Lady.

[Ami politely bows.]

Montague-san, thank you again for your willingness to involve yourself in Usagi-chan's affairs.

Usagi has been here for a long time. She has gained and lost many people, including yourself. It is... difficult for her.

Yes, but this isn't the first time.

There's something more to this.

The most recent events instigated by the Animus would be called harsh by almost any standards. They may have something to do with it.

Usagi takes things too much to heart. [Says the man who spent the entire gravestone event brooding outside.]

And which events are those, exactly?

She deals with a fair amount of lowered expectations and is constantly trying to prove herself because of it.

[He is ever so helpful, yes.]

Whose lowered expectations? Her own, or of others?

Both, I'd assume. One stemming from the other.

[Amazing that he can be so brusque about it when that's probably his problem moreso than Tsukino's.]

[Sighs.]

It sounds like I need to keep an eye on her. [And see just who's coming down on her so hard.]

Usagi-chan typically has others advocating for her. It's unfortunate that we're not all present.

I am not quite sure I understand your question, Mizuno-san.

It's just...something is bothering Usagi-chan, and she's not being all that forthcoming about it.

Several others have offered some insight, but I imagine that different people have different experiences with her.

Well, when she arrived, Usagi-san became determined to find a way to send everyone home. Some poeple spoke up to say that they did not wish to return home and that she could not force them to agree with her. I think that was a rather harsh wake-up call.

This, and the fact that she has lost several dear friends tothis place has taken its toll on her. She has a great heart, and she cares a lot. That tends to hurt her on occasion.

"Lost" friends to this place...you mean as in, "going home"?
