I'm pretty sick this morning, so this is going to be a VERY BASIC tutorial, if anything is unclear I'll come back later and flesh out the confusing bits. Don't be afraid to tell me in the comments if this is useless.
Start with this as your base.
Set
this texture to screen. This brightens things up a bit.
We need to neutralize the reds, and making things a bit lighter. So... Gradient Map →
Stop 1: 1d2702
Stop 2: e7eeca
Set to screen, 59%.
The icon definitely needs more contrast. Duplicate the Gradient Map layer, and this time set it to overlay.
He looks sickly and yellow, bring some color back to his face. Photo Filter → Warming Filter (85)
Dramatic changes time. Set
this (I have no idea where it came from, might even be somebodys icon that I grabbed and destroyed...) to soft light.
This is where I decided to go all yellow.
Color Balance →
Midtones: +21, +12, -47
Set to an opacity of 77%.
Lighten things up a bit more by setting
this to screen, 49%.
Gradient Map → "Copper"
Set to soft light, 56%.
Darken things up a bit so Jesse doesn't get washed out.
Create a color fill layer, 2b3046, soft light, 100%.
I know everything looks gross now, but don't worry.
Vibrance Adjustment → +87
Still don't worry. Gradient Map → "Yellow, Violet, Orange, Blue" set to reverse, soft light, 30%.
The ultimate fix! This will brighten everything and bring the contrast back.
Curves → INPUT: 184; OUTPUT: 99.
TA-DA. DONE.
It should be noted that this doesn't work very well with images from photoshoots... IDK, I can almost guarantee it won't work with photoshoots. Stick to screencaps if you want to use this.
