Hello All,

As you can see, I'm new around here, so I thought it appropriate to briefly introduce myself and tell you a little bit about what brings me to these fair parts. (Actually, I've intended to write this post for a while, but such things seldom go according to plan, eh...)

Hey! Welcome to LJ! You and I must be reasonably close as I live in Ontario, too :) -- I actually wondered when I saw that you'd used 'eh', LOL.

Hi new friend!

Hee, I'm the queen of "intending to write posts" so I completely understand that.

We've recently been rewatching The West Wing--I first got into it when my oldest daughter (almost 11) was about two and a half. She used to watch it with me every afternoon when they aired it in reruns (and while I was pregnant with her sister--it was a much needed respite).

While I love BSG more, I do also love The West Wing.

Awesome!! Watched "Galileo" yet? Love that ep... and holy season finale, eh?! "Two Cathedrals" is just stunning.

Honestly, I worry about doing these characters an injustice. I've written the odd fic for another fandom, but the characters were not *nearly* as nuanced and complicated as Bill and Laura. We'll see, though... somehow I don't imagine you'll let me off the hook that easily. :P
