Praise report time!

Remember this last March when I told everyone to pray for my brother, because he was going to court because of an incident happening at a bar, which ruined his brand new car? (Attempted Vehicular Assault) The charge is a felony and pretty serious, so we needed prayers BIG TIME. My brother hasn't been able to get a good job because of the pending felony charge even - he's worked for fast food and temp agencies. (Many places will not hire a convicted felon, or even if it's a pending charge.)

Ever since then, the case has gone to "court" and was just 'post-poned' another month. So once a month ever since, it was in court, but always post-poned. I mean, it got to the point where we just KNEW what was going to happen that day. "Oh, it'll probably just get post-poned. Again, like always."

Today was another court day, and this time TJ was REQUIRED to be there (his lawyer told him in the past he didn't have to appear, and so he didn't).

Long story short? After hours of sitting there in the court room (and TJ falling asleep once), a lawyer finally came up to him and told him that the case was THROWN OUT and dismissed and he could leave.

I'm so thankful to GOD over all this. I've prayed over this many times. I know our family/friends has, and some church family has, including our pastor (who is extremely wonderful).

I've always stated though that I wanted God's will to be done in this case, and to let the TRUTH prevail. Apparently the guy who brought up the charges could not get his story straight in the police reports and all, which made me wonder if they were lying just to get my brother in jail. My brother's story was always consistent, but back then, my brother was so screwed up and was always lying, we didn't know what to believe.

Although this was a very large burden that's been lifted and a huge praise to God, if you could, continue to keep him in prayers, though. He still has one more court case to deal with (totally unrelated). It's his last court case in a string of cases that seemed to happen one right after the other. So once he gets this next one out of the way and with a good outcome, he'll be free of all court problems, and he can continue on with his trying to re-establish his life (he's also very recently come back to the Lord - which is something else he needs praying for, being a new believer and the many trials that comes with it). He's screwed up so much in the past and lived a wreckless life, which he is now realizing and trying to fix. Unfortunately, he has also has a lot of court fees to pay now, while getting out of some other debt issues. His prayers are still needed, as we all do need prayers always.
