I have another cold. It sucks. I think my body is trying for some kind of record. However, this record might well be stymied by all the people who have had glandular fever, flu and mumps. I think I'll be happy to not take the record actually

Yeah, I too have managed to catch a second cold. Except I think it might be flu, since I've been off work for over a week now. Drat.

I'd be fine for working, except that I seem to have been left with the final lingering symptom of nausea, and it's proving to be impossible to travel anywhere as a result. My workplace are actually talking about couriering a laptop to me. I'm just pleased they're being nice about it and saying things like 'well whatever you do don't come in til you're better, we don't want to catch it too'.

Bad cold season, no biscuit.

Flu jab is no help against colds, sadly. I think there are just more colds around this year.

(Although I guess in an indirect sense they might be linked: if less people are having the flu jab and so more are getting flu, they will be making thsemlves more vulnerable to colds as well (general system depression), so colds will be stronger generally.)

I'm just waiting for the other three horsemen of the apocalypse. Although if Famine turns up he'll have our Christmas cake to contend with.

Interesting. My best theory so far is some kind of placebo effect, but if cold and flu viruses have been conspiring against us, then that might be it!
