Speaking of bugs, if I may pick your brain. Are you familiar with a type of spider that is almost completely blood red, and travel in pairs? They seem pretty docile, just meandering about looking for...whatever. I've killed two such pairs so far.

Anyway, a completely blood red spider? How large is it? If we're looking at something that's tiny (think grain of sand), red and has eight legs, you're looking at a red spider mite. Otherwise, I think it might be a Domestic Spider, they're extremely variable in coloring, so you're local variant may be red. But then again, I'm no expert. Try going to the What's the Bug website and checking out the spiders section. If you're able to get a good photo of them, you could submit it yourself as well. :) Sorry I couldn't tell you off the top of my head.

As far as my arachnid visitors are concerned, including the legs their about the size of a quarter. It's funny, they have eight legs from what I can tell, but they predominately walk on only 6 legs and hold the other two in front of them like a second set of feelers or mandibles.

here's a link to a gallery of red spiders, perhaps you'll be able to find a match there? If so, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll keep looking. :)
Good luck!
